Compendium Gallery is a unique and unexpected art space located upstairs from Compendium Tattoo. Exhibitions are run monthly, featuring both emerging and established artists.

With a large gallery room, set with lofty double-story ceilings and polished concrete floors, Compendium Gallery is a contemporary and unmissable space for visitors and exhibitors.

Each year Compendium Gallery is proud to host an exhibition which exhibits only tattoo artists, both local, national and international.

The tattoo industry is rarely seen through the same lens as the fine art world, despite the fact that tattoo artists, like other visual artists, have distinct styles. Unlike traditional artists, tattooists often work within the constraints of their clients' preferences and requirements. While they are enthusiastic about crafting custom tattoos, many of these artists also produce art that exists independently of skin.

This exhibition aims to shine a spotlight on the remarkable creative genius and the unbounded artistic freedom that these masters of tattooing exhibit when creating their own personal works. It seeks to reveal the depth of their talent and the innovative spirit that drives them beyond the canvas of the human body.
